Stroll along the main street of the township and poke around the historic buildings, take short bushwalks into the surrounding bushland. The buildings, including the post office, tailor shop, general store, bank and residential cottages, have been restored to their original condition as accurately as possible, and the displays are all of genuine relics collected by miners over the decades.

From Oberon, follow the road to Shooters Hill and on toward Mount Werong then follow the signs to Yerranderie. The last 60km is dirt and the last 30km is very bumpy, so drive to the conditions. They say there are 5 creeks to cross, we counted 8.
GPS:Β Β Please be aware that many commercially available online mapping and GPS navigation devices do not have this location listed within, and following these may cause navigational issues.
- Getting there: 4wd may be needed in wet weather
NOTE, NPWS says: “All roads require 4WD vehicle”. HOWEVER, In dry weather, we feel the road is ok for a standard car, just take it easy. In the wet, it’s 4WD only.
CAMPING: YOU MUST BOOK ON-LINE!
